Independent voices.
A European perspective.
People’s Reporter’s is a publication in development, built around Europe, national sovereignty, accountable institutions and open public debate.
A continent worth understanding.
Our starting point is a conservative European perspective and a belief that readers should be able to examine the decisions made in their name. We want to connect political institutions with the everyday lives of the communities they serve.
Our coverage is organised around Europe, politics, borders and security, investigations, opinion and video. Perspective gives us questions to ask. Evidence determines what we can report.
Our editorial approach
- Report with evidence. Link to original documents where possible and distinguish established facts from unresolved questions.
- Keep news and opinion clear. Label arguments and analysis so readers know what they are reading.
- Seek a response. Give the people concerned a fair opportunity to address substantive claims.
- Correct openly. Explain material changes and make the record clearer when we get something wrong.
About this edition
Sample stories demonstrate the design and article format. They are marked as samples and are not current news reports. New reports will be published by the editorial desk.
